PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery exchange time discrimination apparatus while reducing the power consumption. SOLUTION: The battery exchange time discrimination apparatus of a measuring system that uses a primary battery 10 and a communication means comprises a comparator circuit 14 that compares the battery voltage of the primary battery 10 with a standard voltage, which shows the battery residual quantity at a predetermined exchange time, a monitor circuit 16 that monitors the state of the battery voltage that is lower than that of the standard voltage whether the state continue for a fixed time or not and if the state in which the battery voltage is lower than the standard voltage continue for a certain time, then judges that it is the exchange time and a control circuit 20 that stops power supply to the monitor circuit 16 if the monitor circuit judges that it is the exchange time.
