A rubber mixture comprises a filler having nucleophilic surface groups, a rubber gel filler (particle size of 3 x 10<-9>-1 x 10<-6> m, swelling index of 15 in toluene) and a coupling agent. A rubber mixture (I) comprises a rubber component and at least a first filler having nucleophilic groups, preferably OH groups on the surface and (A) a further filler comprising a gel, consisting of a rubber having a particle size of 3 x 10<-9>-1 x 10<-6> m, a swelling index in toluene of 1-15 and whose surface has electrophilic centers and (B) a coupling agent between the gel particles and the first filler of formula (1). X-R1-Si(R2)3 (1) X = a nucleophilic group, preferably -NH2, -SH or -NHR3; R3 = 1-3C alkyl or phenyl; R1 = 1-6C alkyl or cycloalkyl or phenyl; R2 = alkyl or alkoxy.
