PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging and recording device which neither can not record an unexpected prompt scene nor fails to record an important scene owing to user's misoperation. SOLUTION: The imaging and recording device which records photographic image data on a recording medium without any photography starting operation by a user is equipped with a means 107 which automatically saves the photographic image data in a hidden folder as a hidden file when the device is powered on while set in photographic mode.
