LEAD WIRE AND OVER-CURRENT BREAKING POLYMER FUSE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A polymer fuse is provided to improve a joining power with a metal electrode by forming a slit at one end or a groove at a surface and to prevent a polymer from being damaged by an outflow of a solder paste. CONSTITUTION: A conductive polymer is prepared to have a positive temperature coefficient(PTC). Metal electrodes(14) are attached on both sides of the conductive polymer. A lead wire(16) is disposed on the metal electrodes and is connected to an external electronic device. A plurality of hemispheric grooves(17) are formed at a surface of the lead frame so as to widen a joining surface with the metal electrode. The grooves are formed only at a contacted surface with the metal electrode.
