An image scanner for converting image data of multiple scanning lines of a scanned object into digital data, respectively, is disclosed. The image scanner includes a scanning platform for placing a scanned object thereon, a first image-receiving end moving in a scanning direction to pass through the scanning platform for receiving image data of a first portion of the scanned object, a second image-receiving end disposed downstream of the first image-receiving end in the scanning direction, separate from the first image-receiving end by a distance, and moving along the scanning direction for receiving image data of a second portion of the scanned object, a first photoelectric conversion device synchronously moving with the first image-receiving end for converting the image data of the first portion of the scanned object to a first digital data, and a second photoelectric conversion device synchronously moving with the second image-receiving end for converting the image data of the second portion of the scanned object to a second digital data, wherein the second digital data is combined with the first digital data in order to obtain a digital image data of the scanned object.
