PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage box structure for a scooter type motorcycle capable of enhancing maintainability from an opening of a storage box. SOLUTION: In the scooter type motorcycle, the storage box 26 with an opening top face is arranged below a seat, and the storage box 26 is opened and closed by the seat. It is composed so that the opening is formed from a bottom wall 26a to a vertical wall 26b of the storage box 26, and the opening is covered by a detachable maintenance lid 49. Since the opening is formed not only in the bottom wall 26a but also in the vertical wall 26b, maintenance of not only parts such as a carburetor 21 arranged directly under the storage box 26 but also accessories such as a fuse box arranged in a vehicular width direction can be carried out with favorable workability, and the maintainability from the opening of the storage box 26 can be enhanced.
