PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-noise transmitter usable for various high frequency types of radio apparatuses, communication apparatuses, measuring instruments, etc. SOLUTION: A distortion compensator 102 having a lookup table is used for compensating distortions produced from an orthogonal modulator 106. By allowing the modulator 106 to be set to a high output level and a medium power amplifier to be omitted, there a BPF 109 in the latter stage for reducing receiving band noise is simplified. Thus a low-noise transmitter is obtained with a simple configuration as a whole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
