PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device which makes it easy to change a combination of a plurality of video output characteristics and a plurality of audio output characteristics set according to user's preference. SOLUTION: A device comprises a parameter setting table managing means which manages a plurality of parameter setting tables generated according to user's demands together with category information and a switching means which enables a user to optionally switch the plurality of parameter setting tables managed by the parameter setting table managing means and enables the user to switch a parameter setting table to the parameter setting table of a user's favorite category by the switching means according to displayed contents.
