摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of a flicker, etc., by realizing intermediate expression using a frame rate control gradation method by reducing the number of frames in a frame period. SOLUTION: This image display device is provided with a display panel 13 formed by arranging a plurality of pixels 14 divided into three sub-pixels 15a, 15b, 15c, a source driver 12 that drives display of the respective pixels 14 based on three pieces of J (=8) bit data corresponding to the sub-pixels 15a, 15b, 15c and a signal processing circuit 11 that distributes inputted data of K (=12) bit (K>J) into M pieces (M is a positive integer of M<2K<SP>-</SP>J=16) of time-division frame data and supply them to the source driver 12. Gradations of 2K<SP>-</SP>J (=16) pieces to run short due to difference in the number of bits between K bit of the inputted image data and J pieces of signals for driving of the source driver 12 are realized by combination of time-division driving of (3×M) ways to be performed to the sub-pixels 15a, 15b, 15c based on M pieces of the time-division frame data.
