PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an EL element emitting light in high brightness. SOLUTION: The EL phosphor laminated film has a phosphor thin film containing a mother material and a luminescence center expressed in a composition formula: A<SB>x</SB>B<SB>y</SB>O<SB>z</SB>S<SB>w</SB>:M, a buffer thin film containing a sulfide with a thickness of 30 to 300 nm, and a barrier thin film containing an oxide and/or a nitride with a thickness of 5 to 150 nm laminated in this order from the side of a substrate. In the composition formula, A denotes at least one kind of elements selected from Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, and rare-earth elements, B denotes at least one kind of elements selected from Al, Ga, and In, x, y, z denote an atomic ratio, where, x=1 to 5, y=1 to 15, z=0 to 30 (excepting 0), w=0 to 30 (excepting 0), and M denotes an element to be a luminescence center.
