PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of liquid crystal in use when the liquid crystal is injected into a liquid crystal display cell. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal injection plate 1 which is equipped with at least one set of a slit part 2 and a liquid crystal reservoir 3 provided in its sidewall, and a liquid crystal injection plate 1 filled with liquid crystal is set upright in a vacuum tank (not illustrated) in the liquid crystal reservoir 3. In the mean time, a liquid crystal display cells 4 into which the liquid crystal is to be injected are held horizontally in the vacuum tank separately from the liquid crystal injection plate 1. After the vacuum tank is evacuated, the liquid crystal display cells 4 are horizontally moved to insert an electrode lead- out wiring part 6 into the slit parts 2 of the liquid crystal injection plate 1 and a liquid crystal injection part 5 is brought into contact with the liquid crystal surface of the liquid crystal reservoir 3. Then the vacuum state in the vacuum tank is gradually brought back to atmospheric pressure, then the liquid crystal is injected into the liquid crystal display cells 4 by the pressure difference.
