PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase resistance to a fatigue failure of a bimetal band saw blade 17 while enabling a small work to be cut. SOLUTION: A saw blade body 19 is formed with cutting teeth 29 composed of numerous cutting teeth groups 27 of the same shapes by hobbing from the side of a blade material 23. Each group 27 includes a plurality of first cutting teeth 31 each having the deepest part 31a of a galette 35 positioned on the blade material 23 or at the melted joint 25 between a back material 21 and the blade material 23, and an appropriate number of second cutting teeth 33 each having the deepest part 33a of a galette 37 positioned on the back material 21.
