The digital word recovery process reads successive digital word octets transmitted on the line. A process of control of cyclic redundancy is carried out. A cyclical redundancy control is calculated, and the results of the contents calculation compared. Where there is agreement, the block is recovered otherwise the process is repeated. The recovery process has an asynchrononous transmission line with digital words transmitted on the line. Arbitrary octets transmitted on the line are read, and cyclic redundancy controlled. The cyclic redundancy is then calculated and compared. Where the block is identified it is recovered, otherwise the process is started again.
