<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature management method and a system accurately measuring temperatures on a processing line and obtaining temperature data easily managed. <P>SOLUTION: The temperature management method is the one for managing the temperature of a drying chamber D constituting drying parts 20A-20D of a coating line 10 and is provided with an optical fiber 30, a measurement device 32 and a control device 34. The optical fiber 30 is arranged along the coating line 10 and the measurement device 32 measures the temperature on the coating line 10 at a plurality of measurement points by making a pulse light incident to this optical fiber 30. The data corresponding to the drying parts 20A-20D of the data obtained by the measurement are only extracted and classified and is stored in the control device 34. The stored data are extracted to a server 36 to prepare a data base.
