<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for mounting an electronic part which can improve a product yield by accurately judging mounting errors. <P>SOLUTION: When the mounting error still existing in a state in which the part is held in a suction nozzle after a mounting operation is detected based on a vacuum degree measuring result in the electronic part mounting for mounting the part on a substrate by taking out the part from a part supply unit, data of mounting position coordinates of the part is stored as the mounting error data, a camera for recognizing the substrate is moved to the mounting position of the part judged as the mounting error, and the presence or absence of the part is confirmed. It is judged that the mounting error detection is correctly conducted if there is no part here. It is judged that the mounting error detection is regarded as incorrect if there is the part, a flag of supplementing mounting completion is raised, and the result is removed from the supplement mounting object. Thus, the supplement mounting is suitably conducted according to the judgment of the correct mounting error, and hence the product yield can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
