REASONABLE INVENTORY QUANTITY CALCULATION METHOD AND ITS SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reasonable inventory quantity calculation method for determining the safe inventory quantity for each product number in a production line for producing a variety of products.

SOLUTION: A quantity demanded prediction data set (a) that is the base of production plan data b is generated, a product number permitting production shortage is determined, and a production plan simulation is executed to generate the production plan data b including the production plan quantity and production shortage quantity of each product number for the number of trials. All the production shortage quantities are statically processed as necessary inventory quantity, and the reasonable inventory quantity of each product number is determined based of a preset inventory control reference.
