<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress variations in a temperature of a plurality of electric storage element modules due to cooling. <P>SOLUTION: An electric storage device has a plurality of electric storage element modules 2 and a box 4 for housing the modules 2, and each of the modules 2 is configured by aligning a plurality of cylindrical electric storage elements 5 in one line so that the axial lines of the elements 5 are in parallel with one another and by coupling with an insulation coupling member 15. The box 4 has a cooling air inlet 39 and a cooling air outlet 40, respectively, at both positions crossing an electric storage element arrangement direction b and opposing each other, and is composed of an inner side box 6 made of synthetic resin and an outer side box 7 made of metal. Both side walls 23, 24 in parallel with the arrangement direction b of the inner side box 6 have a plurality of recessed lines 27, respectively, and each of the recessed lines 27 is opposite one another by leaving spaces c at a part of peripheries of outer periphery surfaces of each of the elements 5 adjacent to each side wall 23, 24 and extends toward the direction of a generatrix d of the electric storage element outer periphery surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
