<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of slime in a drain pan and a drain pipe even if no antibacterial processing is applied to the drain pan in an air conditioner. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner 1 comprises the drain pan 8 for storing drain water produced in a casing 2, a drain pump 11 for draining the drain water accumulated in the drain pan 8, and a drain pipe 15 leading the drain water from the drain pump 11 to the outside. The machine drain pipe 12 of the drain pipe 15 is formed of a copper material such as a copper or a copper alloy. After the stop signals of the drain pump 11 are outputted and a specified time is elapsed after the stop signals are inputted, the drain pump 11 is stopped.
