PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation type air conditioner of a good installation property, preventing installation surface from being wet with water drips. SOLUTION: In this separation type air conditioner, a connecting part connecting inner and outer connecting pipes is provided in a recessed part of the side part of an outdoor unit, and a drain part 118 connected to an outdoor base plate 102 is formed on a lower surface part 117 of a recessed side plate 116 to guide condensed water to the outdoor base plate 102.
