This invention relates to a multiple purpose musical instrument case being operable in both the open and the closed positions. The musical instrument case provide s protection to the musical instrument once the musical instrument has been placed within the musical instrument case and the lid of the musical instrument case has been securely closed as is known in the art. Additionally with the lid fully opened the instrument case becomes an instrument stand intended to be used for displaying or presenting the instrument in a state of readiness.
