<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a substitute for wood vinegar as containing no settling tar. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the modified filtrate comprises the modification process of modification-treating a crushed wood-based biomass at≤380°C in the presence of water under a pressure condition of over saturated water vapor pressure and the separation process of separating the modification reactants obtained at the modification process into a solid component and a liquid component, with the liquid component obtained at the separation process being recovered as the modified filtrate. The modified filtrate is obtained by this manufacturing method, containing substantially no settling tar and having a concentration ratio of phenols to acetic acid of 0.1 or more, a concentration ratio of lactic acid thereto of 0.01-1.0 and a concentration ratio of glycolic acid thereto of 0.01-2.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
