PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication device which can be set to be in a power-on state by operation and can be automatically switched from a power-off state to the power-on state in the case of charging. SOLUTION: The mobile communication device has a charging detection part for detecting whether the device is being charged or not, an operation part for turning on/off a power source, and a control part 21 for controlling the entire device, and the control part 21 has; a power-on/off discrimination means 212 for discriminating whether the operation part is in the power-on state or not; a charging discrimination means 214 for discriminating whether the device is being charged or not on the basis of the detection result of the charging detection part in the case that the power-on/off discrimination means 212 discriminates that the operation part is not in the power-on state; and a power-on processing means 215 for performing power-on processing in the case that the power-on/off discrimination means 212 discriminates that the operation part is in the power-on state or the charging discrimination means 214 discriminates that the device is being charged.
