PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermocouple temperature detecting device to shorten adjustment time for temperature correction and to detect temperature with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This temperature detecting device for measuring the temperature of a measurement point on an object under measurement by using a thermocouple, is equipped with an amplifier 6 for amplifying a thermo-electromotive force signal of the thermocouple to output an analog signal, an AD converter 7 for converting the analog signal outputted by the amplifier into a first digital signal, a temperature detector 5 for detecting the temperature of a reference point on the thermocouple to output an analog signal, an AD converter 9 for converting the analog signal outputted by the temperature detector into a second digital signal, a storage 13 stored with a reference characteristic of temperature/thermo-electromotive force of the thermocouple at the reference point 0°C with a digital value allotted thereto, and an arithmetic processing unit 10 into which the first and second digital signals and the reference characteristic read out of a storage means are inputted for operating and outputting the temperature of the measurement point.
