<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor such as a digital copying machine for appropriately preventing line breakage of a line drawing part in thinning processing. <P>SOLUTION: When the digital copying machine 1 applies thinning processing for thinning pixels at least in the vertical scanning direction of image data as image processing to digital image data obtained by digitally converting the image data obtained by reading an original, an 1×n size image matrix generating part 61 of a line breakage processing circuit 60 first forms an image matrix of a 1×n size for the image data, a threshold comparing part 62 compares a pixel under consideration of the image data within the image matrix with a preset upper limit threshold and with a lower limit threshold, a line drawing determining part 63 detects the existence/absence of an edge of line drawing and determines whether the pixel under consideration is a portion of the line drawing part, and a line breakage prevention processing part 64 applies image processing for line breakage prevention to an image part determined as the line drawing part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
