<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To access from the outside via the Internet an household appliance, such as a home electronic appliance to which a global IP address (GIP) has not been assigned. <P>SOLUTION: In the information processing system, including the electronic appliance and a server device, information with GIP is transmitted from the electronic appliance to the server device. In the server device, redirection information having a GIP is constituted and the redirection information having the GIP is transmitted to the electronic appliance. The electronic appliance receives and sets the GIP.
