<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a program of setting a communication environment which easily set the communication environment of a server incorporated into a radio LAN. <P>SOLUTION: When a print server 20 is incorporated into the radio LAN 1, the accessory communication environment setting program is installed in a client terminal 10 side, and the installed program is executed. By doing this, an advertise packet is generated and is transmitted by broadcast into the radio LAN 1. A server 20 tries the reception until the advertise packet is correctly received while changing a channel and a communication mode one by one on the basis of a previously stored program, and sets the channel and the communication mode at the time of reception as set items of the communication environment.
