A piperidine derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or a solvate thereof has the formula (I) wherein: T is C(O) or S(O)2; W is C(O) or S(O)2; X is CH2, O or NH; Y is CR5 or N; R1 is optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted heterocyclyl; R2 is hydrogen or alkyl ; R3 is hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl; R4 is alkyl, optionally substituted aryl, optionally substituted aralkyl or optionally substituted heterocyclyl and R5 is hydrogen or alkyl. The compounds are useful as modulators of chemokine (especially CCR3) activity and are useful for treating asthma and/or rhinitis.
