<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a non-contact communication function by using a contact IC card. <P>SOLUTION: A main circuit of a mobile phone is connected to a terminal 7a for external connection, and an antenna for non-contact communication is connected to an antenna terminal 18. A switching circuit 10 switches a contact IC card to the side of the main circuit and the side of a contact IC card control circuit 11. When no waves are received by the antenna, the contact IC card 4 is connected to the side of the main circuit, and the contact IC card 4 can be controlled from the main circuit side and can be used as a contact type IC card. When a carrier wave is received by the antenna, the switching circuit 10 switches the contact IC card 4 to the side of the contact IC card control circuit 11, and it is possible to perform non-contact communication through a transmission/reception circuit 12, an RF detection/modulation circuit 14, etc. by using the contact IC card 4.
