PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shift a frequency generated by ripples to the high-frequency side by suppressing ripple generation in high-frequency passing characteristics (S<SB>21</SB>characteristics) of an electrode, when the width of a first gap and that of a second gap are made different from each other, in an optical waveguide device. SOLUTION: A voltage is applied to a first branching part 3a of an optical waveguide with a first ground electrode 10 and a signal electrode 11, and another voltage is applied to a second branching part 3b of the optical waveguide with a second ground electrode 12A and the signal electrode 11. A first gap 13 is formed between the first ground electrode 10 and the signal electrode 11. A second gap 14 is formed between the second ground electrode 12A and the signal electrode 11. The first and second gaps 13, 14 are divided into voltage application parts 13a, 14a, feed-through parts and connection parts 13b, 14b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
