PURPOSE: A settlement processing terminal for a contact/non-contact type card connected to a service provider through the wired/wireless communication network is provided to reduce expense of a businessman, easily download/update/store various kinds of information by including a USB(Universal Serial Bus) port, and largely reduce power consumption by being operated in only the necessary case. CONSTITUTION: A contact-typed card processor(12) is equipped with a contact port for exchanging data with a contact-typed card. A non-contact-typed card processor(14) is equipped with an antenna for exchanging the data with a non-contact-typed card. A sensor(22) detects contact between the contact-typed card and the contact port, and approximation of the non-contact card to the antenna. A CPU(16) processes command data for settlement determination of a service provider by connecting to each card processor and the wired/wireless communication network. The USB port(26) receives external data. A memory(18) stores/updates the external data by connecting to the CPU and the USB communication port. A shutdown controller(24) turns on/off driving power supplied from a power supply(20) based on a detection result. |
