PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a JPEG processing speed restricts a consecutive photographing speed because the number of pixels increases due to making an image pickup element a megapixel, increasing a JPEG processing amount, in a digital camera in which raw data outputted from the image pickup element are temporarily stored in an SDRAM and are semipermanently recorded and stored in an external memory after performing JPEG compression processing. SOLUTION: A block memory before one frame is compared with the block memory of a main frame. If the difference is within an error range within a threshold, the image number for calling a JPEG image before one frame is temporarily stored in an external memory when there is a time margin. The JPEG data corresponding to the image number before one frame which is again stored is recorded in the portion matching the image number of the main frame. By the above method, a JPEG processing amount is reduced in consecutive photographing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
