PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus without requiring an interpolation process when an ultrasonic image is generated from voxel data. SOLUTION: A DSC (desital scann converter) 7 generates voxel data 21 so that the line of sight 22 and the voxel data 21 in the volume rendering orthogonally cross each other when the voxel data are generated from ultrasonic luster data. An orthogonally crossing coordinate system X', Y' and Z' to express the voxel data 21 and a coordinate system X, Y and Z fixed to an ultrasonic probe are made to correspond to each other to be converted to each other by primary conversion. The voxel data 21 are generated to orthogonally cross the line of sight 22 by a unit vector which indicates the line of sight 22 and an expression of conversion which expresses the primary conversion, and a three-dimensional ultrasonic image is generated by the volume rendering.
