摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for a compression ignition type internal combustion engine introducing a predetermined quantity or more of EGR gas to a cylinder for premixing combustion, to shift the internal combustion engine quickly and suitably from a fuel-cut operation state to a premixed combustion operation state. <P>SOLUTION: When it is predicted that engine operation conditions are shifted from a fuel-cut operation region to a premixing combustion operation region, fuel-cut is released while the engine operation conditions are belonging to the fuel-cut operation region, so that oxygen concentration in a cylinder can be decreased to concentration enough to suppress pre-ignition by the time when the internal combustion engine starts a premixing combustion operation. Furthermore, the transmission gear ratio of an automatic transmission is changed to an acceleration side when the fuel-cut is released, so that it is possible to minimize deterioration in fuel economy due to fuel-cut release. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
