PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for displaying keypad thereof are provided to input a candidate character easily in a certain menu. CONSTITUTION: A display module(151) displays a keypad, and an input unit(120) receives an information keyword through the keypad. Whenever a character or number is inputted in the keyword, a control unit(180) performs a control operation to display a keypad consisting of candidate character or numbers which can be inputted next. The display module displays the list of the searched information in one side of the display region. The display module displays the list of the searched information on the one side of the display region. Whenever the character or number is inputted in the keyword, the control unit searches an information database related to a certain information search menu.
