<p>A loom has a shuttle-box for receiving the shuttle and a positioning device including a pivotal plate carrying a feeler and which when the reed beats up the weft, is pivoted by e.g. an actuator element connected to the reed such that the feeler engages the chamfered rear end of the shuttle and guides it into the box, such that it is in a correct position for automatic doffing of the weft supply bobbin. Pref. the feeler actuates the weft retaining jaw to release the weft when it correctly engages the rear end of the shuttle. Pref. the feeler is arranged to strike the underside of the shuttle if the shuttle is retarded w.r.t. the loom whereupon the feeler is depressed and actuates a control switch of a stop-motion to shut down the loom.</p> |
