The invention relates to a device for filtering air, comprising a filter housing with an unfiltered air region and a filtered air region, said unfiltered and filtered air regions being separated from each other by a partition (2), and at least one filter element (4) which can be connected to at least one opening introduced into the partition (2) by means of a head portion (8) for the passage of an air flow from the unfiltered air region into the filtered air region, wherein a seal (3) with sealing ribs (9, 10) is formed in the contact region between the head portion (8) and the partition (2). The device is to allow a better seal between the unfiltered air region and the filtered air region. This is achieved in that an additional device is provided for supplying compressed air to an intermediate chamber (11) formed between two sealing ribs (9, 10), an additional compressed air pulse being producible by means of said device together with a constant supply of sealing air. |
