Data processing bismuth plastics tape - precipitating plastics film within plasma discharge

Data processing tapes including a bismuth layer processed by amplitude modulated laser beams and deposited on a flexible transparent carrier are produced to provide a considerable reduction of the concentration value of the beams in that prior to the deposition of the bismuth layer on the carrier a continuous polymeric film is deposited which is produced by polymerisation of a corresponding monomer in situ within the plasma discharge.
