Intermittent kiln with recycled air - using baffles to close off stack or furnace chamber during cooling

Kiln for firing ceramics and terra cotta has flues for recycling the air and gas exhausted, baffles being provided in the ducting for directing the gas to the input burners or to th exit flues. The kiln is filled with stacks of ceramics for firing, the doors are closed and firing completed. The flames are then extinguished and the air recycled through the burner jets to cool the contents of the furnace.
