<p>1391941 Stud and socket fastenings SPRECHER & SCHUH AG 19 Jan 1972 [15 April 1971] 2552/72 Heading E2B [Also in Division H1] To provide for the mechanical interconnection of electrical components to form a rodlike module in which components may be readily removed and remounted to facilitate repair work, an electrical component, such as a push-button 1, signal lamp 2, switches 3 or a transformer 4, has secured thereto a coupling element 7 constructed of insulating material and having bayonet-type claws 13 (14, Figs. 3 and 6, not shown) for engaging similar claws on another coupling element 7, the component (for example, switch housing 5 in Fig. 5) and the coupling element 7 having at least one duct 18', 18 extending therethrough and accommodating a spring-biased bolt 33 arranged to protrude (at 33a) from the coupling element such that, in use, when said component is secured to another component having a similar coupling element by interengagement of the claws 13 (14), the bolt 33 protrudes into the duct 18, 18' in the similar coupling element. As shown in Fig. 5 the bolts 33 are urged by springs 34 and have handles 31 extending laterally through slots 30 in the housing 5 to enable the bolts to be withdrawn for dismounting the assembly. The module is front mounted on a panel 9 by a stressing collar 10 fixed to housing 6a, which contains a lamp-holder (41, Fig. 7, not shown). The elements 7 are disclike plastics members generally cruciform in plan (Fig. 2, not shown) and support, on their exterior, terminal screws 8 for the associated components, the screws being received in tapped holes (26) in terminal members 25 which are also provided with bores (28) in which contact studs (as in Fig. 5) may be inserted, or leads (as in Fig. 6, not shown) may be soldered.</p> |
