Such a stabilizing member is said to reduce chatter by iliminating transverse vibrations of the closure member. The closure member may be conical, as shown in Fig. 3, or a loose ball in a follower. The stabilizing member is preferably a star-shaped conical washer. The relief valve is shown in Fig. 1 as a pilot valve for the actuation of the main relief valve 20.</p> |
