<p>1468350 Universal joints SRM HYDROMEKANIK AB 26 Feb 1974 [30 March 1973] 15457/73 Heading F2U A resilient coupling comprises axially extending posts 24 of a driven member which extend into apertures 23 of a driving member, each post and aperture having circumferentially spaced parallel driving surfaces between which a resilient member 25 is disposed, prestressed in the normal direction of drive (indicated by the arrow in Fig. 4). The prestressing is provided by a leaf spring 26. The surfaces of aperture 23 can be coated with PTFE or lacquer to facilitate axial movement, the coupling being also capable of accommodating angular misalignment. The resilient member 25 shown is curved to provide axially extending contact surfaces, but it may alternatively have radially extending contact surfaces. The resilient member 25 can have a slotted surface (Fig. 9, not shown). The coupling is shown between an engine output shaft 11 and a toruqe converter 13.</p> |
