Insertable bits for heating processes, are provided with a shank and fitted into a soldering appts., esp. an electrically heated soldering iron. The novelty is that several different tips are mounted on the shank and heated to the same temp. employed in burning, melting or soldering. Different bits are thus immediately available during coarse or very fine soldering or in burning patterns or marks e.g. on wood. Three bits may be located at 120 degrees intervals on the end of the shank, each bit being bent outwards by 45 degrees. Alternatively, the shank may carry a head fitted with a larger number of bits, several alternative designs appearing in the claims.
|
