<p>The burner functions with a nearly stoichiometric quantity of air, having a nozzle mounted concentrically in an air supply tube, with an end cone on the latter whose mouth diameter is a fraction of the tube inlet diameter. A hollow perforated mixture diffuser, adjustable in the axial direction, has its convex face towards the nozzle and the escaping air forms with the fuel a mixture having a faster discharge speed than that of the flame extension. An annular body of larger external diameter than the air tube mouth is mounted at right angles to the axis of the latter. The diffuser (9) has in the front towards the nozzle (6) an aperture (12) for a hollow body (13) which has a cover plate (14) near the diffuser and between it and the nozzle (6).</p> |
