The method of manufacturing wall elements from two different materials is carried out by placing on a flask board (1) an open-topped, open-bottomed mould flask (3) which corresponds in height and width to the wall element, and filling it with a single layer of spaced uncured brink blanks (2). The joints between the brick blanks are filled with a porous concrete composition (4) which provides the desired wall thickness, and after expansion of the concrete composition has been completed, the blanks together with the porous concrete are subjected to hydrothermal curing. Before depositing the brick blanks, a layer of coarse plaster may be applied to the flask board.
