1474143 Warp knitted stringer tape YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 16 April 1975 [25 April 1974] 15603/75 Heading D1K A warp knitted tape has a marginal edge portion comprising a chain S 1 of stitches formed in a warp thread connected to the web portion by tricot stitches T 1 or T 1 ' in each course, the fastener elements 13 being secured to the tape by a line of sewing stitches 14 passing through the sinker loops of these tricot stitches. As shown, Fig. 1, the tape comprises chain stitches S 1 , S 2 .. S n and tricot stitches T 1 , T 2 .. T n and T 1 ', T 2 ' .. T n ' respectively lapping over two and three wales with open laps. Warps 22 laid into the wales, other than the end one, close the laps. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown) both tricots T, .. T n and T 1 ' .. T n ' lap over two wales. Otherwise they may be lapped over four wales with respectively open and closed laps. |
