<p>1497837 Production of aromatic urethane ANIC SpA 3 June 1975 [25 June 1974] 23984/75 Heading C2C Aromatic urethanes of formula wherein Ar is an aromatic radical and each of R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP>, which may be the same or different, is an alkyl radical or a hydrogen atom are prepared by reacting an aromatic hydroxy compound having a hydroxy group directly attached to a carbon atom of the aromatic nucleus with an aliphatic urethane. The reaction is preferably carried out at 150‹ to 250‹ C. The examples describe the preparation of N-methyl-α-naphthyl urethane and N-methyl-#-naphthyl urethane.</p> |
