The passageway may be of elongated rectangular cross-section, Fig. 5 (not shown). Grooves 24 formed in the insert form continuations of grooves formed in the unrecessed part of surface 11. The composite striking surface is part-spherical. Compositions of alloys from which the insert can be made are given. The insert may be secured by epoxy adhesive. The upper and lower edges of the insert may be slightly spaced from the corresponding surfaces of the recess. |
