The invention relates to a mechanism for converting a rectilinear reciprocating motion into a one-way rotational motion, which can be used, for example, for driving a current generator and for other applications. According to the invention, the mechanism consists of a rack (3) which directly drives a toothed wheel (4) integrally connected to a ratchet wheel (7) forming a first block and putting into motion a ratchet (8) placed on a crank (10), fastened on an end shaft (12) rotating it by an angle proportional with the travel of the rack (3), when the rack (3) moves in opposite direction, an intermediary toothed wheel (15) permanently engaged with the rack (3) allows the end shaft (12) to maintain the same direction of rotation by means of a second block formed of another toothed wheel (19) integrally connected with another ratchet wheel (21), said block driving in its turn another ratchet (22) placed on a second crank (24) fastened on the same end shaft (12) in a circular motion on the same single direction of rotation as the first crank (10) with ratchet (8) and by an angle proportional with the travel of the rack (3). |
