3-Heterocyclylimino-9, 9a-dihydro-thiazolo (3, 4-a)-indole derivs. of formula (I) in the (R) or a (s) forms or their mixts. and theri acid addn. salts are new. In (I) A is 3-pyridyl, 4-pyridyl or 5-isoquinolyl (opt. substd. in posn. 3 by an opt. branched 1-10C alkyl. (I) are analgesics, antipyretics and antiinflammatories used to treat chronic and acute pain e.g. rheumatic, traumatic, dental, neurological, visceral, cancer etc.; inflammatory troubles e.g. spondytarthritis, ankylosis, acute articular rheumatism, arthroses etc. and febrile states by oral, rectal, parenteral or topical application e.g. in doses of 150-2000 mg/day.
