The building ventilation equipment comprises a housing which can be installed in a wall or roof opening, and has one or more air conduits. In the lengthwise direction the conduit is enclosed between opposite sidewalls. It is also enclosed between a further pair of opposite sidewalls (5) on which there are mounted transverse walls (6, 7), extending into the conduit at right angles and in opposite directions. Together these transverse walls cover the opening in the conduit, and deflect the current at one or more points. There can be a number of conduits (4) mounted parallel to each other.
